Jianhui's DBA Research

Jianhui's doctoral research | How can coaching develop managers' wisdom?

A Bordeaux DBA research direction connecting coaching, managerial wisdom, Chinese enterprises and organization development through cognitive, reflective and compassionate dimensions.

Research Question

From coaching dialogue to the development of managerial wisdom.

Jianhui's research direction in the Bordeaux DBA program studies how coaching may develop wisdom among managers in Chinese enterprises through cognitive, reflective and compassionate dimensions, using the 3DWS scale. The full research outputs will be released only after the research and publication boundaries are confirmed.

01

Cognition: how managers see reality

How managers distinguish facts, judgments and assumptions, and understand the frames through which they interpret complex organizational situations.

02

Reflection: how managers learn from experience

How managers revisit their choices, roles, relationships and actions, turning experience into more conscious judgment.

03

Compassion: how managers relate to self and others

How managers remain human, responsible and capable of action within complex relationships and uncertainty.

Research Design

Coaching and organization development

The research asks how coaching dialogue connects with management practice, team relationships and organization development.

Connection to Practice

Research and practice illuminate each other within different boundaries.

Research offers a deeper lens for executive coaching and organization development; practice keeps the research connected to real management settings. Research hypotheses, practice experience and public findings are not interchangeable.

At this stage, the public page presents only the topic, direction and methodological outline. The full thesis, research data and findings will be released gradually after completion and publication boundaries are confirmed.
